Early Spring Photoshoot at Humber Bay Park 🌿📷

Last week, I had the pleasure of photographing Jacky during a one-hour portrait session at Humber Bay Park, one of Toronto’s most scenic waterfront locations. We timed the session for just before sunset to take full advantage of the soft, golden light that makes early spring evenings so magical.
The Perfect Spring Day for Portraits
It was one of those sunny, crisp spring afternoons when the city starts to come alive again. Humber Bay Park offered the ideal setting—peaceful, open, and filled with natural beauty. We wandered through the park, stopping at several gorgeous spots that gave us a great mix of backdrops.
Some highlights included:
The iconic Humber River Bridge, always a favorite for its symmetry and light
A small, secluded beach full of driftwood that gave the session a relaxed, coastal vibe
Sun-dappled walking paths perfect for candid, in-motion portraits
Natural Light & Genuine Smiles
acky needed a mix of classic three-quarter and full-body portraits where he was looking confidently into the camera. As we got further into the shoot, he became more at ease, and his smile began to shine through naturally.
By the end of the session, we had a beautiful variety of portraits—professional, polished, and relaxed.
Wrapping Up the Session
Working with Jacky was a pleasure. Sessions like this remind me how much I love capturing people in their element, especially when the setting and light come together so perfectly. Humber Bay Park continues to be one of my top recommendations for spring photo sessions in Toronto.
